Indian Affordable Art Fair (Mar 2025) at Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre
What an extraordinary week it has been in my artistic journey! The stellar opening of the Indian Affordable Art Fair – “Narratives on Canvas” on 19th March was not just an exhibition, but a celebration of creativity, emotion, and connection. Surrounded by a thoughtfully curated lineup of talented artists from Hong Kong and master painters from India, the atmosphere at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre was nothing short of magical.
To see my painting “Unbroken Bond” proudly displayed among such magnificent artworks was a truly humbling experience. And the moment I learned it had found its new home — ready to adorn the buyer’s living room — was indescribable. That painting, for me, represents the silent strength of relationships, the invisible ties that hold hearts together.
Adding to the joy, my hand-painted bottle collection turned out to be a complete sell-out! Every single piece was bought, and what made it even more special was that 100% of the proceeds were donated to charity, supporting a noble cause through the initiative led by Shikha Sawhney Lamba. Knowing that my art could bring both beauty and change filled me with immense gratitude
The Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre has long been home to legendary artists — including the iconic M.F. Husain — and to stand in the same halls where such artistic greats once showcased their creations was an honour beyond words.
I am deeply thankful to my dear friends and colleagues — Arvind Shahi, Sandrine Fiévez, Sandeep Sethi, Julie Or, Lisa Li, and many others — who took the time to visit, support, and encourage me. Your presence made the experience even more memorable.
To the buyer of “Unbroken Bond”, a heartfelt thank you — your appreciation reminds me why I paint, and your belief in my work inspires me to continue with passion and purpose.
Special thanks to the organizers, #RedPeppersHK, for this beautiful collaboration and for curating an exhibition that truly celebrated the diversity of narratives through art.
This week reaffirmed something deep within me — I have found my passion.
And I can’t help but wonder…
“Sometimes, all it takes is a canvas and a little courage to turn imagination into impact.”
